Women in the Spirit 2019 Mini-Retreat


“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help.”  Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

As busy women we are often pulled in many directions at any given time! We need to tend to ourselves in different ways so that we can better care for those we love.

When on an airplane, we are instructed to put our oxygen mask on first, before helping others.  This is important for survival because if we run out of oxygen, we can’t help anyone else. The same is true as we practice good self-care. This day is for YOU, settling in for some comfortable conversation, spiritual growth, good food, music, prayer and worship. A day with no pressure or demands on you, just come as you are for rest and renewal.

Our day together:
The day includes reflections, casual conversation, time to write, draw, meditate in our quiet prayer room, or explore the beautiful grounds:  8:30am Continental Breakfast, we’ll begin with a 9am Morning Devotion, followed by 12:00pm Catered Lunch, closing with 3:00pm worship and heading home by 4:00pm. Please mark your calendars for a one day mini-retreat here at St. John’s. All are welcome for breakfast, a tasty catered lunch, comfortable conversation, spiritual growth, music, prayer, worship and some fun hands-on activities too!
