Video from Bishop-Elect Kym Lucas
“As I’ve entered this new year, I have found myself filled with anticipation and with hope as I think about this transition from my ministry as rector of St. Margaret’s to my ministry as your bishop. I am thrilled at the prospect of being with you and ministering with you. Thank you so much for all of the notes, the cards, and the letters. For the prayer shawls, for the amazing quilts. For the words of encouragement and especially for the prayers. It is a powerful thing to know yourself to be surrounded and supported by prayer. And I am thankful and grateful for it….” Video link here.
Serving Global Needs
EPISCOPAL RELIEF & DEVELOPMENT DONATIONS
Hearing God’s call to seek and serve Christ in all persons and to respect the dignity of every human being, Episcopal Relief & Development serves to bring together the generosity of Episcopalians and others with the needs of the world. In 2016, Episcopal Relief & Development spent 84% on programs versus 9% on fundraising and 7% on administration. Because ERD receives support from the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society in addition to income from investments, at least 90% of every donor dollar goes directly to programs.
PRESIDING BISHOP MICHAEL CURRY
