Blessing of the Animals in October!
9:00am Saturday, October 6 – St. Francis of Assisi is best perhaps known as the patron saint of nature and the environment, with many legends that sprang up after his death dealing with his love for animals. Francis believed that the world was created good and beautiful by God but claimed that it is the duty of humanity to both protect and enjoy nature as stewards of God’s creation.
All are welcome and invited to celebrate with an outside service to bless our animals. In the event of inclement weather, we will meet inside. We will have treats for the pets along with coffee, juice and donuts. All creatures great and small are welcome!
A Prayer for the New School Year
O Eternal God, bless all schools, that they may be lively and safe centers for sound learning, new discovery, and the pursuit of wisdom; and grant that those who teach and those who learn may find you to be the source of all truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
A Prayer for the Election of Colorado’s Next Bishop
Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a bishop for this Diocese, and those in discernment with us,that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Episcopal Relief & Development serving global needs
EPISCOPAL RELIEF & DEVELOPMENT DONATIONS
Hearing God’s call to seek and serve Christ in all persons and to respect the dignity of every human being, Episcopal Relief & Development serves to bring together the generosity of Episcopalians and others with the needs of the world. In 2016, Episcopal Relief & Development spent 84% on programs versus 9% on fundraising and 7% on administration. Because ERD receives support from the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society in addition to income from investments, at least 90% of every donor dollar goes directly to programs.
