MOPS – New Mothers of Preschoolers Group
Exciting news! A new MOPS group is starting at St. John’s. We are looking forward to providing a safe and welcoming place where all moms can share their hopes, fears, and insights. There will be childcare for children from birth to age 5 while the moms are enjoying time together. The group will meet every second and fourth Tuesday from 9:00 – 11:30 am until the end of May 2018. If you or someone you know is interested in finding out more, visit MOPS.org.
8:30am-4:30pm Saturday, April 28 Our special guest for the day is Jerusalem Greer. She is a writer, blogger, speaker, and an Episcopal Family Minister. Jerusalem, her husband Nathan, and their two boys live in rural Arkansas where they are attempting to live a slower version of modern life. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
“…I am (in no particular order) a wife, a momma, a yoga fan, book addict, reluctant gardener. I love theology and shiplap…I am a liturgical convert. I love Jesus. I trust the Holy Spirit. I prefer naps to cleaning. Or jogging.”
She writes about all of this and more at www.jerusalemgreer.com
Episcopal Relief & Development serving global needs
EPISCOPAL RELIEF & DEVELOPMENT DONATIONS
Hearing God’s call to seek and serve Christ in all persons and to respect the dignity of every human being, Episcopal Relief & Development serves to bring together the generosity of Episcopalians and others with the needs of the world. In 2016, Episcopal Relief & Development spent 84% on programs versus 9% on fundraising and 7% on administration. Because ERD receives support from the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society in addition to income from investments, at least 90% of every donor dollar goes directly to programs.
